Britain's soccer superstar David Beckham once topped Winston Churchill as the face his countrymen wanted on their money. But in 2007, Beckhaminvaded America – with a Posh partner in tow!

While his skill on the field propelled him to the Manchester United Club, it is his marriage to Victoria "Posh" Adams of the Spice Girls that made him iconic. "Posh & Becks" ascended to royal status with three sons and a mansion dubbed "Beckingham Palace."

Beckham, who has scored deals with Adidas and Pepsi, has also faced several scandals: allegations of an affair; a kidnapping threat; and a controversial decision to play for rival Real Madrid. England'sother royal family took over Hollywood with Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy deal, but a knee injury sidelined David right when he was getting started.

In July 2011, the soccer star and his fashion-designing wife finallyadded a girl, daughter Harper Seven, to their brood of boys.

En marzo pasado, durante un partido de fútbol en la liga italiana, el otrora capitán de la selección inglesa, David Beckham, se dirigió al círculo central del campo. Solitario, el mediocampista recibió el balón con calma, giró y al momento de intentar un pase lateral se lesionó gravemente el tendón de Aquiles de la pierna izquierda, truncando así el anhelo de jugar en Sudáfrica su cuarto mundial.

Los especialistas entendían que el tendón sufrió micro-traumatismos (diminutas lesiones) durante un periodo indeterminado hasta que finalmente, débil y exhausto, no soportó la carga requerida para completar un pase de trámite.

(Because of the sheer number of volumes, and their short-story nature, I will not even attempt to summarize each volume)

Where to start? Doraemon apparently first appeared in 1969 or 1970 (it ran as a manga series starting about 1974), with the infamous something-wonderful-pops-out-of-the-desk-drawer story. Since then, it has gone on to become one of Japan's most popular and well-loved manga series, and Doraemon is now perhaps one of the most recognized faces in all of Japan. The comedy series is still continuing, though it suffers from the defection of one of the two original writers. From my own point of view, Books 1 through 30 are probably the classic Doraemon, and the stories seem to solidify and improve at around book 6 (before that, the drawing style is a little old-fashioned, and the plots are a little thin).

Sekilas kabar yang cukup mengejutkan di industri otomotif dunia, baru-baru ini kembali beredar, dimana salah satu pemainnya melakukan sebuah langkah yang cukup aneh. Yup, pihak Nissan baru saja mengumumkan informasi tentang kepindahan markas besar untuk brand Infiniti ke Hong Kong.

Perlu diketahui, sejak pertama kali diluncurkan pada tahun 1989, brand Infiniti sengaja diciptakan demi melayani pangsa pasar Nissan untuk daerah Amerika Utara, Timur Tengah, Eropa, Asia Tenggara, dan benua lainnya.

Namun kini, pabrikan asal Jepang itu mengambil keputusan untuk memindahkan markas besarnya ke Hong Kong dengan alasan demi mencapai angka penjualannya ke seluruh dunia sebanyak 500.000 unit per tahun, dan mereka merasa bahwa Cina adalah negara yang tepat untuk mendukung target mereka itu.

Rencananya, markas besar baru Infiniti itu akan dilokasikan jadi satu dengan komplek Nissan Global Company Limited (NGL), dan sudah mulai beroperasi pada April 2012 mendatang.

Wah…selamat deh buat Infiniti! Semoga di rumah barunya nanti, nama Infiniti akan semakin besar dan semakin dikenal…!
